With over 25 years of experience in Telecommunications, Robert is a Veteran in the Industry. He currently serves as Founder and CEO of Data2Go Wireless, with overall responsibility of the company. Prior to Data2Go, Robert Founded Direct Communication Solutions (DCS) in 2008. Under Robert’s leadership, DCS became the largest reseller of embedded modules for Telit Communications, North America. During his tenure at DCS, Robert successfully led negotiations that resulted in the largest fleet technology modernization project to date for the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission, encompassing more then 20,000 cabs to include Hardware, Software and Wireless Connectivity. Robert started his Telecommunications career at Sprint in the mid 1990s, served in several sales leadership roles and was consistently a top producer. Robert is a past Co-Chair on the CompTIA IoT Advisory Council, evangelizing the power of IoT to the IT community. He and his fellow council members are responsible for generating content on IoT to provide vision and guidance in matters relating to the creation, delivery and support of business opportunities around the Internet of Things. Robert’s current involvement with CompTIA as the Chair of the Emerging Technology Committee helps him continue to be part of “the bigger picture”. Robert’s work/life balance includes quality time with his wife and 3 boys. His “alone time” includes Triathlon training and is a competitive age group athlete.
