Vice President

Angel is the Vice President for Strategic Academic Relationships at CompTIA, the Computer Technology Industry Association, a global non-profit serving as the voice of the tech ecosystem. Angel’s technology career began as a computer repair technician in 1983. He rose quickly to leadership and is today a senior executive widely known as an industry expert in information technology and workforce development. Angel is frequently invited to serve as a speaker and panelist at IT Forums throughout North America. He was invited to the White House on two separate occasions to share his expertise, was a guest speaker at the U.S. News STEM Solutions Presents: Workforce of Tomorrow conference and was featured in Hispanic Executive Magazine. He participated in a briefing for Capitol Hill staffers on "Attitudes toward a Career in IT" spearheaded by Congressman Roskam (R-IL) and Congresswoman Sanchez (D-CA) to form and populate the Congressional Caucus on Small Business IT. Angel has long been a champion of providing educational and career opportunities to those entering the IT field and is working with businesses and CTE educators in the K-12 and post-secondary market to ensure graduates are workforce and college ready.
